However, skin can also be troublesome. Spotty and oily for some, dry and flaking for others, and sometimes these issues come on quite suddenly. In those moments, we really do feel concern over our skin and how it’s behaving.

See a Dermatologist
This should always be the first thing you do as it’ll eliminate any serious medical needs you might have right now.
The skin is the biggest organ in the body and sometimes it needs specialised care, but without a visit to the dermatologist, you may not understand what’s going on or be able to access the right treatment for it.
Book in to see them as soon as you can and get your skin checked over. You may need to go through some tests to eliminate any and all possibilities, but it’s always better to be safe when it comes to the care of your skin.
Book a Salon Visit
If the dermatologist has given you the all clear and you’re good to treat your skin in the way you see fit, now’s the time to book a salon visit. Heading in for a consultation is the first thing, as the practitioner will be able to tell you what you might benefit from and which treatments they have that could help.
They may suggest a Glacial RX treatment, for example, which improves complexion and helps to minimise skin tone issues, or Microdermabrasion, which deeply exfoliates and really clears out your pores.
But whatever they recommend, it’s up to you whether or not you get it! Remember though, salon treatments do tend to be a lot more effective than an at-home skincare routine, especially one that’s already been letting you down.
Change Your Routine
A skincare routine should be different for everyone. We all have our own skin and even if you can agree on the common types of skin people have, you’re still going to be different to the next person in some way or another.
